Who is this for?
Licensed health professionals including RN, MA, NP, DO, MD or DMD, wishing to gain an in-depth knowledge and hands-on training in various laser and light based devices.
Non-health licensed professionals are encouraged to apply, however, a background in aesthetics or an understanding of skin anatomy and physiology gives provide a stronger foundation to build an understanding of how lasers interact with the skin.
Hours: 88 hours - 48 of which are hands-on in our Scottsdale, AZ facility

How is our program different?
Med-Surg Academy's founder, Erin Cooper, is a leader in the laser aesthetics arena working for the last decade as an instructor for Sciton, a leading laser device manufacturer. She built her own medspa practice and knows the ins and outs of building a career in the laser aesthetics industry. She developed the curriculum with hands-on training a core emphasis as she knows the critical importance experience provides in building expertise and self-assurance. Significant real-world experience enables students to analyze various skin types and concerns, performing treatments to build competence and develop confidence to succeed. What credentials will I receive?
Our state approved course provides the educational credentials to obtain the Certified Laser Technician (CLT) from the Arizona Board of Radiation Control and the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) certification from the Arizona Department of Health Services.

Objectives:

This is a two part training. Both parts are required for Laser certification. Please make sure you are able to attend both Part 1 and Part 2 prior to registering for your chosen Session.
*Med-Surg Aesthetics and Laser Academy can help coordinate travel arrangements for out-of-state students wishing to travel for hands-on training.
*A non-refundable 10% deposit is required to hold your space in any session. Tuition must be paid in full 30 days prior to your session start date or you will be bumped to the next available session and your deposit will be forfeited.
